Potential

Here is an example of how I've been using the manequin to inform my designs - here quite literally. I feel this is one of my most successful creations; the shape is strong and dynamic, incorporating both angular lines and curves. I feel as though the result is creative and well considered.
I normally choose to sketch several variations of my work the manequin but however felt that one sole drawing was sufficient in this case - perhaps this is evidence that my development is ready to come to an end... finally I feel ready.
I feel that design has the most potential to be made into a full scale garment; it's simplicity and effectivness makes it an obvious choice. I don't want to dishearten myself by attempting too complex a design - lets learn to walk first.
The next step is to consider how I will transform this design to scale, I'm excited about the prospect of creating the pattern pieces as this will be an entirely new experience for me. 'Text as shape' just keeps getting better.
