I feel like I've really fallen for contrasts within 'Text with shape' during my review today I kept referring to the way I'd attempted to balance a level of structure with drape and softness. I feel like the developmental sketch on (pictured) explores this concept extensively. I find contrasts create such intrigue and challenge for me as a designer, marrying two opposing themes together is not a simple task, however it is one I love to accomplish. Perhaps my attraction to juxtaposition is based on my desire for challenge or maybe I just love the idea of making the unworkable work? Either way, I would say the theme 'contrast' defines not only my work within this project but my creative work as a whole.
